The town of Gaildorf with its rich heritage is situated at the heart of the
Swabian Forest and the Limpurg Hills, and lies directly on the "Idyllische
Strasse" (Idyllic Road) tourist route.
The town on the banks of the River Kocher with its 12,500 inhabitants is the
hub of the Limpurg Land and the former residence of the Schenken von Limpurg.
